I had a problem with the app as it did not show up at all. I had to remove its plist file to have it running again but I lost my configuration and got back to defaults. Nice app but could be more reliable.

This app is great! Thanks guys!
The idea is good, but the software is still very rough round the edges. I run into problems when trying to color the tabs (cant open the color chooser because the font chooses stays open), change the font (position on the tabs is not accurate) or delete tabs (artifacts stay on the desktop). Futhermore I noticed that the open action is verry slow, and sometimes does not respond to mouse clicks. Sorry to say, this is un mature software, lets see if the upcomming updates delivers.
Very reliable and neat Dock replacement with great customizability options. This is what the native Dock should look like. Down sides: - No option to fully deactivate the native Dock. Might be technically complicated. - Bad integration with Finder modifications like the popular TotalFinder. Nice to have: - Drag & Drop pasteboard support like Yoink! - Ability to rotate labels for 180 degrees.
No quick way to drag icons from your dock to the tab, and hunting down each icon in Applications and then deleting it from the dock is more hassle than its worth. The tabs themselves are too big, too slow, and not as elegant as the dock. I was very much hoping this would be a dock replacement, but its just not.
Its a great idea thats really not very well implemented. The look of the app is inelegant. The tabs just arent shaped quite right, the font is poorly placed (thats slightly adjustable, though), and the default colours are garish. Functionally, its slow. And moving the tabs around is way too finicky. I managed to get the tabs moved from the side of my screen to the bottom, but now I cant move them back, all I can do is make the tabs bigger and smaller. Overall, a very frustrating experience in use. Hopefully the developer refines the look, feel, and usability of the app before asking people to pay for it.
I really like the idea behind this app...i still havent checked it out completely, but so far it looks good. Oraganization wise I love that i dont have to move to a cluttered dock, instead i can scroll over to the app i need so much easier. I especially like the fact that its hidden, but pops out when you want to scroll to an app.
The app is a nice idea, but as others have said its very unpolished. It doesnt look elegant which doesnt tie in with the whole OS X feel. Also it is slow to set up as you cannot drag from the dock. My biggest problem and the reason for me to delete it is the annoying sound it makes when you click an icon on it.. As far as I can tell through preferences etc... YOU CANT TURN IT OFF!!!
Needs support for multiple screens, and the ability to move all the tabs to one side instead of it having at least one on the opposite side. There is also a bug when you rearrange one of the apps, it overwrites another app and you end up having a duplicate of the moved app.
I bought it at version 1.2, and so far I am happy with it. from reading previos comments it seems that 1.2 is a major upgrade for usability (i really think it is great). it did crash twice on me, once when changing Safari to full view (it happened only once), and once when reverting the preferences of the app, but all in all it is very nice. The usability is great , dragging items from one tab to another / from apps to a tab or changing the order of items, adding tabs, changing colors etc is a snap. Moving it around the screen edges is also very easy. I have a 3 monitors setup (one monitor is a USB Video Adapter), and I am able to move the dock between all three with no difficulties (I can actually dock it on any edge of the three monitors (left / right and bottom). Each of side monitors I have is connected with Synergy to other computers, and tab launcher still works great. Please keep on the good job. Ideas: ----- * Add the ability to dock the tabs at the top portion of the screen (if not for all screens, just for the ones that are not the main one when having multiple monitors). * Add export / import capabilities for the tabs setup (icons / colors etc). * Add the ability to change the icon sizes. * Implementing an app preview something along the lines of hyperdock.
Even though I add new tabs, all I ever see is exactly 2 tabs. Im on Lion 10.7.1
Its a good app, but it would be nice if there was a option to disable animations since sometimes it does run a bit slow and the window stays open (very rarely though). I love being able to put my apps into categories since I have SO MANY apps. Very useful app.
The developper takes car of our requests. Ive asked two features and theyve included them in the new release. I could not live without this fatastic little app. New features are very nice and eveything works pretty fine. Keep up the good work!!!
Very nice launcher. There when you need it. Im surprised at how responsive it is, even fully loaded. Almost a 5. Update: With the added features and the screen preview. Its definitely a 5.
Exactly what I wanted…. You can change the tab shape, the font, the placement, the size, the number/size of tabs/icons…. I can’t find a fault with anything. I’m using this on Yosemite and made the tabs transparent to look like the new Dock… works great. Also added a Parallels tab to run Windows apps directly and it works wonderfully well. I can’t find anything this thing won’t do. I see other negative comments and can’t imagine why?? Must be an earlier version or these folks didn’t understand how to use this. I give it a 5.
I have been using this quick launcher for quite some time time. Between this and Launcher, they are my two (2) ‘go to’ applications for quick access to resources… applications, files, folders, etc. My only caveat I have about Tab Launcer is, with the new MacOS Sierra (Beta 6). Occasionally the Tabs get ‘stuck’ (don’t launch) when I move the cursor to the bottom of the screen and click once to pop up the tabs. Other then that, this application seems to work fine. Siri integration to launch Tab Launcher in Sierra will also be a welcome function.
Great app, but options to align tabs and hide menubar icon would be great.
Cool. Helpfull app for developers.
Great app, but not perfect. I would like to see the items centered in each tab and not all on the right side. I would also like to be able to open a folder and navigate throught it directly from Tab Launcher (like Apples dock). The white "light" under an open app is a bit ugly.
I use this app from a lomg time and it’s very good and efficient. But now it needs a small bug fixing for Sierra, because sometimes it’s unresponsive (I have the option that the dock is hidden and it opens only when the arrow of the mouse move on the tab). After that it’s a 5 star app. Mac Pro late 2013
